Seize The Birthday#322 Use Green as Main Colour

 Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for another Seize The Birthday Challenge. 

JoAnn  is our host for this challenge and with St Patrick's Day coming up soon, she wants us to Use Green as Main Colour. Of course, if you are not in to our "toppings" option, you can make any kind of  Birthday Card.

I took this opportunity to make a card that would suit any Gender. 

The background stamp is from Penny Black. I used various shades of green Karin Markers.

The Dragonfly die is an old fave, also from Penny Black.

The sentiment is another oldie from Taylored Expressions. 

We have a new Surprise Party Guest joining us this month - the talented  Jennie Maier.  

We also have Valerie from INKspirations  joining us as Guest Designer.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE MAR '26

 Hey there Crafty Friends! It's the first Saturday of the month, so we have a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge up on the blog. 

Our theme this month is 'ANYTHING GOES or the optional twist 'Four-Legged Friends'.

I created a scene with stamps from Penny Black Puptastic Stamp set and patterned paper.

TIME OUT CHALLENGE #308 CASE the Designer & Celebrating our Birthday

 Hi there Crafty Friends!  

It's time for a new TIME OUT CHALLENGE. This week we want you to CASE a gorgeous card made by the uber talented Stef Perry of Perry Papercrafts.   We are also celebrating our 12th Birthday! Woohoo! Read all about the history of Time Out at our blog.

I made 2 cards because I was so inspired by Stef's card!

this is Stef's gorgeous card...

My CASE is very literal, but I love red roses and  so I have probably not changed much from the Muse card, except that I used one flower and Watercolour instead of Copic colouring. In my first card I changed up the layout. 

The stamp is one of my very favourite, from Stampers Anonymous, called French Garden.  Is used Karin Markers direct to stamp and blended with water on the stamp and then on the card. 

The Embossing Folder is from Stampin Up. The Sentiment in the above card is from Spellbinders. 

Instead of a sentiment in this card, I added some script and a label for a Vintage feel and gold splatter.

Seize the Birthday - #321 Anything with Wings

  Hi there Crafters! It's Jenny here and I'm so happy to be hosting this challenge for Seize the Birthday. I've always been addicted to butterfly, dragonfly and bird stamps/dies etc and I don't think I'm the only one, so I hope you enjoy the Topping I've chosen ... 'Anything with Wings'.

I've used Primacolor Pencils again to colour this gorgeous image from Penny Black Stamp called Perch.

I was colouring every day when I was non weight-bearing after foot surgery and I need to get back to it again, because practice definitely helps. I made this a few months ago and it was one of my best efforts.

Our Surprise Party Guest is Helen Brammer from Helen's Craft Haven.  We also have Rachel joining us as Guest Designer.

I stamped the bird on branch and water-coloured with Karin Markers and Altenew Metallic paint. 

The pretty border was stamped with Delicata Gold Ink on the base card.

TIME OUT CHALLENGE #307 PHOTO INSPIRATION

 Hi there Crafty Friends!  It's time for a new Time Out Challenge and this week we want you to be inspired by a photo.

The photo prompt in this challenge is also the prize - a beautiful handmade bag, made by our old Teamie Kim Heggins. Kim not only makes beautiful cards, she is also very handy with needle and thread! Check out her other beautiful creations at Running Stitch Designs.

I took my inspiration from the Colourful stripes and dots and combined these elements to make dotty stripes:)

I used a stencil and distress inks for the dots and then cut up the strips. The die for the flowers are from Alexandra Renke. 

I decided to leave the card without a sentiment, because I need more blank cards. 

We are joined by  the incredibly talented Michele Ferguson of I Card Everyone,  as Guest Designer.

Stamped and Layered Background

 Hi there Crafty Friends! I'm in a bit of a creative slump, can't find my Mojo! So today I'm sharing a couple of cards that have been sitting in my previously made, but not shared stash. 

The theme at Allsorts Challenge is to make your own background. I'm entering the second card in the Allsorts Challenge. 

The blue paper already had the white script printed on it, so i then stamped the flowers and silver embossed. 

In this card, I sponged and smooshed some ink on the white card and then stamped various images from Prima Marketing and Darkroom Door with the same ink. When dry, I stamped the flowers with Delicata Golden Glitz ink.

The floral stamps are from Stampers Anonymous and the sentiment die from Simon Says Stamp. The rectangle dies are from MFT. 

I'm also entering the second card in Simon Monday Challenge where the theme is Spritz & Splatter.
