Altenew February '25 Inspiration Challenge

Hello there crafty Friends! I've been very busy and distracted lately, so I've only been keeping up to date with DT commitments, but I always like to participate in the Altenew challenge, so here is my card.

I've used the leaf stamps and sentiments from the Translucent Foliage. I also fussy cut some of the leaves embossed with the coordinating embossing folder. The background is embossed with Floating Foliage EF.
I also added a few of the Earthy Rose Promo Enamel Dots and som splatter.

Do yourself a favour and pop over to the Altenew blog to checkout Erica's clever design!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Seize the Birthday - #299 Add a Heart to your card

Hi there Crafty Friends! Happy Valentines Day ❤️❤️❤️

It's time for another Seize The Birthday Challenge.

JoAnn is our host for this challenge and she wants us to 'Add a Heart'  for the topping this week. If you are not in to our "toppings" option, you can just make a birthday card.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use this gorgeous die from Penny Black to add a splatter of hearts to my card and then pair it with my fave Hedgie stamp, also from PB.
The sentiment die is Pink Fresh Studio and the trim was made with a die from The Greetery.

We have the lovely Julia from Create with Me, joining us as our Surprise Guest.
You can see Julia's card and more from Amanda our continuing Surprise Guest and our own talented team at  Seize the Birthday Challenge blog.

I hope you'll find time to join us. Remember, the topping is optional, so if you prefer Anything Goes, that's fine,  so long as it's birthday themed.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

TIME OUT CHALLENGE #282 PHOTO INSPIRATION

Hi there Crafty Friends!  It's time for a new Time Out Challenge and this week we want you to be inspired by a photo.

The photo prompt in this challenge is also the prize - a beautiful handmade bag, made by our old Teamie Kim Heggins. Kim not only makes beautiful cards, she is also very handy with needle and thread! Check out her other beautiful creations at Running Stitch Designs.

I was inspired by the colours and knitting stitch pattern. I also incorporated the snowflakes with the pinpoint coverplate.
Stencil: The Greetery Knit Wits
Stamps: Inspired by Stamping
Die: Memory Box Pinpoint Snowflake

As mentioned above, our sponsor for this challenge is one of our very past designers, Kim, at RunningStitchDesign

This challenge prize is open to only US residents, thank you for understanding.

We are joined by  Arlene Rose of Sundaystamper Papercrafts,  as Guest Designer.
You can see Arlene's card and more inspiration from our  fabulous DT at the TIME OUT CHALLENGES blog.

THE CARD CONCEPT #214 Valentine fun

Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to a new challenge at The Card Concept

We have a romantic photo, with lots of pretty elements, to spark your creativity.

I used the gorgeous Honeybee Stamps Vintage Mailbox die. I sponged gold ink on the die cut. I then die cut the mini post card and stamped it with images and script from the Postmarked Stamp Set.
The patterned paper is from Kaisercraft and I fussy cut the flowers.
It's a big card to fit the mail box.

I was inspired by the colours and the shape birdcage reminded me of the mailbox.
My style of my card is Shabby Chic/Vintage.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Time Out Challenge #281 Pick Two: Stitch, layer, heart, food, love, warm

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. We've changed up our challenge themes this year and for this challenge we want you to Pick (at least) Two from the following - Stitch, layer, heart, food, love, warm.

I've used an old die set from My Favorite Things and a smooshed background for the stitched hearts.
The stitched scallop rectangle die is from Memory Box.
I promised myself I'd make a record of stamps used on my cards, but sadly I've already failed, so I don't know the brand for the sentiment.
(I have 1/2 my supplies at our beach house and 1/2 at home. I think I'll start taking a rough photo of the card with the supplies as soon as I'm done).

I chose stitch, layer, heart and love

Our Guest Designer this week is the lovely Marcia Hill of Marcia's Stampin' Pad.

You can see Marcia's fabulous card and more inspiration from our  wonderful DT at the Time Out Challenge blog.
Now it's your turn - I hope you have the opportunity to join in our challenge.
